importing additiional email lists

I keep getting an invalid file format error when attempting to import additional email addresses to a list.
Ive tried Excel 2010 and CSV format. Current version of Buik emailer and DNN5 build
Any assistance is much appreciated . Thank you

Are you using the sample files in the download package and replacing your data?
